About MENDTOGETHER CIC
A Community Interest Company for men.
MENDTOGETHER CIC is a registered Community Interest Company providing trauma-informed peer support, recovery and connection for men in Kent and across the UK.
Our mission
To stand alongside men through emotional overwhelm, trauma, addiction and isolation — and to build the kind of community most of us were never given.
We are MENDTOGETHER CIC — a not-for-profit, community-owned vehicle for a simple idea: that men heal in community, with people who get it, at a pace they choose.

Our values
How we hold men.
Trauma-informed
Pace, choice and safety are built into every space we hold.
Peer-led
Men supporting men. Lived experience sits beside professional training.
Safeguarded
Clear policies, named leads, DBS-checked facilitators, honest escalation.
Accessible
Free or low-cost wherever possible. No man is turned away for inability to pay.
Governance
Built to be trusted.
Asset lock
As a CIC, every pound and every asset is legally locked into the community purpose. Surplus is reinvested in men's support — it cannot be paid out as private profit.
Community interest
Our community interest statement is filed with the CIC Regulator and reviewed annually in our public CIC34 report.
Independent governance
An independent board oversees safeguarding, finance and impact. Board minutes and an annual report are available on request.
Transparent reporting
Audited accounts, outcomes data and our community interest report are published each year via Companies House.
An important note
MENd Together is not a crisis service. If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental health support, call NHS 111 (option 2) or Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7).

FAQ
About the CIC
What is a Community Interest Company (CIC)?
A CIC is a UK legal form for social enterprises. It carries an 'asset lock' that legally protects everything we build, earn and receive for community benefit — it cannot be extracted as private profit.
Are you a charity?
We are not a registered charity. We are Community Interest Company (MENDTOGETHER CIC), Registered in England & Wales, Company No. 17243546, Private Limited by Guarantee. CICs are not-for-profit by design and are regulated by both Companies House and the CIC Regulator.
How are you funded?
A blend of donations, partnership income, grants and low-cost programme fees. As a CIC we reinvest surplus into supporting more men.
Who runs MENd Together?
We started MENd Together as a small group of men with lived and professional experience of trauma, recovery, and frontline work alongside men in homelessness, addiction services, and the criminal justice system. Day-to-day work is led by a team of facilitators and volunteers, with an independent board providing governance — never one person carrying it alone.
How can I get involved?
Become a member, donate, volunteer, refer a man you care about, or partner with us if you run an organisation.
