Trauma support for men, in the company of other men

If you're a male survivor of childhood trauma, you've probably spent a long time feeling like the only one. Most men do. We grew up being told to get on with it. We learned to manage. We built lives, careers, families, and we kept the worst of it locked somewhere we didn't have to look.

Then, often years later, it surfaces. In a relationship that won't quite work. In anger that arrives out of nowhere. In numbness. In drinking too much. In a low hum of shame that's hard to name. In bodies that won't relax. In a sense that something is wrong, but no language for what.

This group exists for that. For the part of you that already knows what happened, even if you've never said it out loud. It's a confidential, trauma-informed space, held weekly online, where you can sit with other men who understand without you having to explain.

You can come as you are. You don't need the right words. You don't need to have it figured out. You just need to be willing to be in the room. The work happens in the being there.

    Why peer support matters

The thing that breaks the silence is hearing another man speak it first

Trauma keeps you isolated. That's part of how it works. It tells you that what happened was your fault, that you're broken, that no one will understand, that you should keep it down. Therapy can help. Reading helps. But for many male survivors, the deepest shift comes from being in a room with other men who say the unsayable, and survive it.

That's what this group offers. Not a fix. Not a programme. The simple, profound experience of being witnessed by men who genuinely know. That's where the loneliness starts to lift.

    Honest about this programme

    What Peer Support actually is

Volunteer-led. Built with men who've walked this path. We'd rather be clear than oversell — so here's what to expect, and what to do if it isn't right for you.

    What it is

A volunteer-facilitated group for men carrying childhood trauma — a place to be heard, not fixed, alongside men who get it.

    What it isn't

It isn't therapy, crisis care, or a clinical service. We hold space; we don't diagnose or treat.
