Safety, trust & emotional care
How we keep men safe.
Safety here isn't a checklist on a wall. It's how we hold the room — quietly, consistently, with clear boundaries and human warmth.
Our principles
Six things that shape every session.
Trauma-informed by design
We follow trauma-informed principles in every session — safety, choice, collaboration, trust, and lived-experience leadership. No one is pushed past where they're ready to go.
Sober attendance
We warmly welcome men in recovery. We ask everyone to attend sessions sober and able to engage safely, so the space stays grounded for the whole group.
Respect & confidentiality
What's shared in the room stays in the room. We hold each other with respect, listen without fixing, and never repeat what isn't ours to share.
Lived-experience facilitation
Our facilitators have walked through trauma, addiction or recovery themselves. They hold space, not diagnose.
Data handled with care
We collect only what we need to support you, store it securely, and never sell or share your details. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Honest signposting
If MENd Together isn't the right fit for the moment you're in, we'll point you calmly toward services that are.
In the room
What we ask of every man who joins.
These aren't rules to keep you small. They're agreements that keep the space safe enough for every man in it, including you.
- ·Arrive sober and able to engage safely.
- ·Speak from your own experience, no advice-giving or fixing.
- ·Hold what's shared in the room as confidential.
- ·Look after the man next to you with the same care you'd want.
- ·Tell a facilitator if something doesn't feel right, we'd rather know.
