Men gathered around a fire

    Accessibility

Every man deserves access to support.

We are committed to making the MENd Together website and services accessible to all men, regardless of ability or circumstance.

    Our commitment

MENDTOGETHER CIC aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. We believe that trauma-aware support should be available to every man, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor impairments.

    Visual

Compatible with screen readers and magnifiers. Sufficient colour contrast. Resizable text up to 200%.

    Hearing

Video content includes captions where possible. Live sessions can be joined with subtitles on request.

    Cognitive

Plain English throughout. Clear headings and structure. No flashing or distracting animations.

    How we test

    1. 1

      Automated scanning

We run automated accessibility checks on every build to catch contrast errors, missing labels, and structural issues.

    2. 2

      Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element — buttons, links, forms, menus — can be reached and operated using only a keyboard.

    3. 3

      Screen-reader testing

We test key journeys with NVDA and VoiceOver to ensure headings, landmarks, and form labels are announced correctly.

    4. 4

      User feedback

Men using our services tell us what works and what doesn't. We treat accessibility feedback as urgently as safeguarding.

    Alternative formats

If you need information in a different format, we will provide it free of charge within 5 working days.

    Large print & easy read

Any page, guide, or policy can be sent as a large-print PDF or easy-read version.

    Audio & BSL

Key content can be recorded as audio. British Sign Language interpretation is available for live sessions on request.

    Known limitations

We are continuously improving accessibility. Current known issues:

    • Some older PDFs may not be fully screen-reader optimised.
    • Third-party video embeds rely on the provider's caption support.
    • Interactive maps on location pages may be difficult to navigate with a keyboard.

If you encounter a barrier we haven't listed, please tell us — we will prioritise fixing it.

Request an adjustment or give feedback

If you need any adjustment to access our services, or if you have feedback on how we can improve accessibility, we want to hear from you. Every message is read by a human within 48 hours.
