Men sitting in a circle by a fire

    How it works

From first visit to first session.

No hard sell, no funnel. Five steps, mostly free, at your pace. Most men go from this page to a real conversation within seven days.

Arrive. Read nothing if you're not ready.

You don't have to register, share a story or pick a programme to be here. Most men land on the homepage, read a few lines, and leave. That's fine — we built this site to be safe to bounce off.

Second-time arrivals are when something starts to land. We'll quietly suggest the room most men in your situation move to next — fathers, survivors, recovery, or the broader Recovery Hub community.

    When you're ready

    Step into the work.

Some men stay in free community for years and that is a complete answer. Others move into facilitated sessions or the 12-week Pathway. Both are good. There is no ladder you have to climb.

    How we hold the work

    Trauma-aware, not therapy

Everything is paced for nervous systems that have been through too much. We're not clinicians — we work alongside your GP, therapist or support worker.

Nobody is turned away for money

Free will always be free. When something costs, there's a quiet bursary route — one email, no forms.

    Men holding space for men

Every room is held by trained facilitators who have done their own work. Small groups. Safeguarded. Always confidential.

    Quick honest answers

    Do I have to talk?

No. Camera off and silent is welcome in every free room. Most men listen for the first one or two sessions.

    How long does it take?

From landing on the homepage to your first session is usually under a week. The pathway through community takes as long as it takes — there is no finish line.

    What if I'm in crisis?

MENd is not a crisis service. If you or someone you love is in danger right now, call 999. For urgent support, Samaritans on 116 123 are free 24/7.

    One next step is enough.

You don't have to commit to a programme to find out if this is for you. Pick the smallest possible thing and start there.
