About the cornerstone guides
Cornerstone guides are the deepest, most-worked pieces on the site. Each one is a full walk-through of a subject we've seen a hundred men wrestle with — trauma, addiction, shame, shutdown, brotherhood, mental health in Kent — written for the man trying to make sense of it on his own.
They're long because the subjects are long. But they're built in short sections, so you can read one section, close the tab, and come back next week without losing your place.
Every guide is drafted by a MENd Together facilitator with direct experience of the topic and then reviewed by a second practitioner for accuracy, tone and safeguarding. Where a guide touches clinical territory (trauma, addiction, suicidal thinking) we explicitly name the limits of peer support and point at the right professional door in the UK.
The guides are dated. If a piece hasn't been reviewed in the last year, we say so at the top. If the evidence base for a section shifts, we rewrite the section rather than patch it.
