Men's Retreats in Kent: A Guide for Men Thinking About Taking Time Out

Kent has a genuine, quiet advantage for this kind of thing: proper countryside, a couple of hours from London at most, without needing to travel to the Scottish Highlands or the Lake District to get real distance from a city routine. If you're based in London, the South East, or Kent itself and looking for a men's retreat without a huge journey, that combination matters more than it might sound.

What 'Men's Retreat' Actually Means Here

It isn't a fixed format across the whole industry, so it's worth being specific about what MENd Together means by it: a few days away with a small group of men, based around connection, conversation, and stepping outside your normal routine, rather than a fixed clinical programme. See what actually happens on a men's retreat for the fuller picture.

Why Location Matters More Than It Seems

A retreat's setting does real work. Genuine countryside, distance from a city, somewhere quiet enough that phones naturally get put down — these aren't just aesthetic choices, they change the texture of the days. MENd's retreats are based around Kent specifically because it offers that kind of setting within realistic reach of a lot of England.

    Who Tends to Come

Men from Canterbury and East Kent, certainly, but also a fair number travelling from London and the wider South East for exactly the reasons above — close enough not to need to plan a whole holiday around it, far enough to feel like proper time away.

    What's Currently Running

MENd Together currently has two retreats at the interest-registration stage — a four-day retreat in December, and Below the Surface, a four-day adventure retreat in summer 2027 with two introductory dives. Neither has final dates confirmed yet, and registering interest costs nothing and commits you to nothing. See the current retreats for the honest current status of both.
