Fatherhood can be one of the most meaningful parts of a man's life, and one of the loneliest. Whether you're living with your children, navigating contact, missing them, co-parenting under strain, or just feeling the quiet weight of being the one expected to hold it all together — this group exists for you.
The Monthly Fathers Support Group is a calm, confidential peer space, held by men who understand. It isn't therapy. It isn't legal advice. It isn't about taking sides. It's about being witnessed, alongside other dads, in the things that don't usually get said out loud.
Who comes
You don't need a reason. If you're a dad and something in you is looking for this — that's enough.
What to expect
Kept intentionally intimate so every dad is seen and heard. Confidentiality is agreed at the start of every gathering.
Opening, check-in round, a longer reflection, and a closing round. You can speak or pass. Showing up is the work.
Held by facilitators trained in trauma-informed practice. Nothing is forced. The pace is yours.
We don't take sides in family situations. The focus is your wellbeing as a father — not your case.
Most fathers come to their first group quiet and unsure. You can sit, listen, and pass when the round reaches you. You will not be put on the spot.
Safeguarding
The Fathers Group is emotional peer support. It is not legal advice, not a McKenzie Friend service, and not a forum for active safeguarding investigations or allegations of harm.
If safeguarding concerns are raised, we follow our safeguarding pathway and signpost to the right support. Read our Safeguarding Promise and Support & Boundaries for the full picture.
